The Seymour High School junior-varsity boys' basketball team has a record of 8-9 entering this week after splitting a pair of games last week.
On Tuesday, Feb. 2, the Tigers fell 42-27 against Gainesville in home action.
Sophomore Cooper Bunch was the Tigers' top scorer against Gainesville with 13 points.
Others who scored for Seymour were junior Manny Gardea with 5, junior Ivan Whited with 4, sophomore Derek Akers and freshman Evan York with 2 points each, while freshman Brayden Baker had 1 point.
In home action on Friday, Seymour rebounded with a 33-14 decision versus visiting School of the Ozarks.
In Seymour's victory over the Patriots of School of the Ozarks, Bunch again was the Tigers' leading scorer with 9 points.
Gardea, Whited and freshman Luke Rasmussen each had 6 points.
Akers scored 4, while York had 2 points.

This Friday, the Tigers travel to Fordland.
Next Tuesday, Seymour travels to Marion C. Early of Morrisville.
