In their respective regular-season finales, the Seymour Middle School “A” and “B” girls’ basketball teams posted a pair of home victories last Friday over Bradleyville.
Seymour’s “A” squad won 29-10 to improved its season record to 8-4.
Seymour’s “B” squad won 13-6 and ended its 2020 campaign with a 3-4 record.
“It was a great way to end our regular season,” Tiger head coach Derrick Jessen said.
In the “A” contest, Seymour led 4-0 after one quarter, 12-5 at halftime and 26-5 after three frames.
Addison Ridenour was the Tigers’ leading scorer with 12 points, while Hanna Stoneking scored 9 points before suffering a third-quarter injury.
Kaylynne Bull and Makaila Crawford each had 3 points, while Paisha Sturdefant rounded out the scoring with 2.
In the “B” contest, Elainna Wallace was Seymour’s top scorer with 5 points.
Crawford added 4, Elliott Hanger netted 3 points, while Bull had 1 point.
“Our ‘B’ team really closed the season strong,” Jessen said. “They won their last two games and were 3-1 in their final four games.”
