Since my good pal Steve Richards, superintendent of the Seymour R-II School District, hasn’t yet unveiled a full-scale drawing of the local district’s new gymnasium, I got out my pencil box, protractor and slide rule, then came up with my own design for the new gym.
Steve, my architecture fees are free.
My only caveat is free courtside seats.
Sure, my design calls for 5,000 seats and an estimated price tag of $40 million.
That’s just a bit over budget.
But you’ve got to expect growth here in Seymour!
As the old saying goes, “If you build it, they will come.”
So, Steve, should I send the blueprints via FedEx or do you want them hand delivered?
