Editor, Webster County Citizen:
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Seymour R-II School District for its wonderful meal served to U.S. military veterans and their families last Wednesday, Nov. 11, in celebration of Veterans Day.
My wife, Mary, and I enjoyed the tasty food prepared by our local school.
But what we enjoyed even more were the kind words of the school’s students, which were shared with us as letters were given to veterans by the children. This was such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture that went way above and beyond for all of us who proudly served our country.
Thank you to our school for the lunch, and thank you to our students for your cards and letters.
It makes us proud to live in Seymour when we see our school, including its administration, staff and students, make Veterans Day a priority.
