Yessir, Seymour, I’m coming to you today with a news scoop! It’s one of the biggest news breaks of 2020! You ready? Here it goes: On Saturday, Dec. 5, there will be corndogs.
Not just corndogs. Seymour Apple Festival corndogs. Served right here at the historic Owen Theatre by the Seymour Merchants’ Association before the parade, starting at 3 p.m.
It’s a first-come, first-served deal.
I’m told there will be about 240 festival corndogs, made with the exact hotdogs, the exact batter and in the exact fryers used at the annual Seymour Apple Festival.
Even the “Corndog Queen,” Beverly Barlow, is overseeing the entire operation, aided by her trusty sidekick, “Papa” Dean Rowe.
Just remember where you heard this news first — from ol’ PhoToad, Seymour’s top reporter.
