Editor, Webster County Citizen:
Dan, the Amish are a separate community, taking care of their own welfare, education, most all aspects of living with their beliefs, ways, etc., avoiding outside interests, politics, police, courts, insurance companies, governments and such.
They take care of their own problems in their own way.
They do not allow pictures of individual Amish members that are identifiable.
The recent situation involving only members of the Amish community concerning incest is an internal problem of their own, not concerning the outside city, county and state. They have already punished those involved in their way.
They are quite capable of managing themselves.
May I suggest it is none of my business or anyone else’s, including governments, newspapers, etc., how they do it.
