Memorial services for Joan Helen Rowe Fox of Seymour we’re held Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Seymour.
Mrs. Fox, 84, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021.
She was born on March 26, 1937, in Fort Maclead, Alberta, Canada, to Helmer and Isabel Hutton Johnson.
The family soon moved to Noxon, Mont.
She attended Noxon schools and graduated from Noxon High School in 1955.
She married Reuben Rowe, and together they had three children.
In 1962, the family moved to Seymour.
She worked at the H.D. Lee Company in Seymour for nearly 10 years while raising her children.
She then moved to Lebanon, where her warm personality lent itself to jobs working with the public. Fifteen years later, she moved back to the Seymour area to be near family and started working at The Seymour Bank. She retired at the age of 72 after close to 16 years in building janitorial maintenance.
In 2009, she married Jim Fox. They enjoyed traveling and shared many happy years together.
She was an excellent seamstress, a great cook, an avid reader and a meticulous housekeeper.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Doreen Minnick.
Survivors include her two sons, Ron Rowe and wife Jamie of Poynett, Wisc., and Fred Rowe and wife Barbara of Spring Hill, Kan.; her daughter, Lissa Fox and husband Gregg of Seymour; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her brother, Dave Hildebrand and wife June of Spokane, Wash.
