Michael Patrick Pettit, 54, of Fordland passed away peacefully on June 29, 2021, at home.
He was diagnosed with Stage IV Sarcoma cancer that had rapidly spread to his lungs. It is his wish to be cremated.
There will be no visitation or service.
Mike graduated from Logan-Rogersville High School in 1985.
He spent his life working hard as a roofer, iron worker, asphalt road construction and metal building construction.
He loved hunting and fishing and excelled at archery, even requesting that his ashes be scattered in his favorite deer woods.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debbie; his son, Michael Andrew, Rogersville; his mother, Georgia, of Fordland; his brother, Matt, also of Fordland, a stepson, Justin Lewis, Ozark; plus many uncles, aunts, cousins and family in the area.
We would like to commend the doctors, nurses and staff at University Hospital in Columbia, Cox South, Tennile at Cox Home Care and Cox Hospice for the amazing care and compassion they provided over the past eight months.
You are appreciated!
And a huge thank you to brother Matt for his patience,
love and support and all the trips back and forth to Columbia.
You are a great brother.
