A flu-vaccination clinic will be held for two hours next Monday morning at the Seymour YMCA, courtesy of a partnership between the Fordland Clinic, the Webster County Health Unit and the local YMCA.
From 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, interested residents are encouraged to simply walk in to the local YMCA, located at 315 East Center Avenue, during the two-hour window to receive a free flu shot.
“No appointment is necessary, and there is no cost,” said Scott Allen, administrator of the county’s health unit. “Vaccines are safe and effective at helping prevent infection, especially severe illness, hospitalization and death.”
Anyone can take advantage of the testing. The vaccine will be available for those who are insured, uninsured and underinsured.
