The city of Seymour's court system now is online.
Seymour has joined the Show-Me Courts system, which is the online network at https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet.
That means effective last Saturday, any tickets written by city officers now appear online at the aforementioned website, commonly known by the public as "casenet."
City Court Clerk Theresa Mitchell said the online presence has many benefits.
"City court cases now can be checked online," she explained. "Tickets also can be paid online."
Mitchell noted Seymour now is part of a universal online court system.
"It's a good thing," she said. "And I feel the public also will feel the same way."
