- soctober

October starts Thursday.

It’s also “Socktober” in Seymour.

That’s the message from Seymour’s Cub Scout Pack 91 as members want to help make this winter warmer for southern Webster County families in need.

Troop members will be collecting gloves, hats, mittens and socks to benefit the annual Share Your Christmas project sponsored by the Seymour Lions Club.

Organizers said adult and children’s sizes of the aforementioned items are needed.

Requested are new items only.

Where can the gloves, hats, mittens and socks be dropped off?

At school. Specifically, send those items to the Seymour R-II School District. If possible, the items can be delivered via local school children.

The drive continues through Saturday, Oct. 31.

Once the drive ends, Seymour’s Cub Scouts will donate all of the collected items to Share Your Christmas.

For more information on the drive, call Angela Stanley at 417-988-7986.
