The Seymour Area Arts Council last week set its remaining show schedule for 2021 at the historic Owen Theatre on the south side of city square.
Shows at the Owen, all with an admission price of $10, include:
• Saturday, Sept. 25 — "Ozark Travelers."
• Saturday, Oct. 9 — Open-to-all talent show.
• Saturday, Oct. 23 — "Geezer The Band."
• Saturday, Nov. 6 — "Wise Guys."
All shows start at 7 p.m., with the Owen's doors opening at 6 p.m.
This Saturday evening, the local arts council has joined forces with the city of Seymour for a variety of activities on the city square, including a free concert in the gazebo of the Seymour Downtown Park by "Auntie Em & The Tornadoes," which gets under way at 7 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m., members of Seymour's Hazelwood Lodge No. 459, A.F. & A.M., will play host to a $10 shrimp boil that features shrimp, summer sausage, corn on the cob, carrots, potatoes and a variety of other goodies.
The local lodge will serve its shrimp boil until sold out, organizers said.
Those who attend Saturday's evening's free concert are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
