Local youngsters Rinley Levan, left, and Troy Branham enjoyed their snacks from the Roberts Sno-Biz Friday evening at the inaugural "Food & Song" celebration in the Seymour Downtown Park, an event sponsored by the city of Seymour and the Seymour Area Arts Council.

Held on the city square, featured was music from a live bluegrass band, "Ray Cardwell & Tennessee Moon," a shrimp boil by Seymour's Hazelwood Masonic Lodge, several vendors from the Seymour Farmers' Market and a crowd estimated in the hundreds.

The next free outdoor concert in the park's gazebo arrives Saturday, Aug. 28.
