Rain delays, including yesterday’s 3- to 4-inch downpour in Seymour, have forced the delay of Friday’s grand opening of Seymour’s new Signal Food Store at the intersection of U.S. 60, Highways C and K.
The new Signal now will open at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Sean Bumgarner, Vice President of The Scrivener Oil Company, which owns Signal, said rain delays have slowed pavement progress at the store, notably on the west edge of the parking lot.
“I’m confident that we’ll have our doors open at 6 on Monday,” Bumgarner said. “If not for Wednesday’s rain, we would have made it Friday.”
