COVID-19 vaccine and testing opportunities come to Seymour this Friday at the city of Seymour's new COVID-19 testing facility, located just east of the Seymour Safe Room on East Clinton Avenue.
From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day, workers from the Webster County Health Unit will be offering expanded drive-thru testing opportunities at the Seymour facility, located at 700 East Clinton Avenue.
That morning, health-unit staff also will be in Seymour for a vaccine clinic.
Pre-registration is required.
Call the county's health unit at 417-859-2532 for the location and to schedule a time.
There is no cost for the testing or the vaccine.
"The city wants to thank the health unit and its administrator, Scott Allen, for immediately coming to the assistance of Seymour when we contacted them about expanding COVID-19 testing and a vaccine clinic after the recent outbreak of the deadly virus over the past month," City Administrator Hillary Gintz said Monday. "The health unit has been extremely considerate in terms of working with our city and community as all of us try to limit the number of people impacted by COVID-19."
