A trash-can feed prepared by Seymour's Hazelwood Masonic Lodge No. 459, A.F. & A.M., to benefit the Southern Webster County Food Pantry raised a total of $1,250 for the entity known to most as The King's Pantry with 117 meals sold Saturday evening as the "Ozark Travelers" performed in the gazebo of the Seymour Downtown Park.

Also that evening, pantry volunteers made $340 with a quilt raffle and another $160 with a 50-50 drawing.

"We really appreciate the community's help," Genita Kastning said. "The money we made (Saturday) will be used to purchase food for people in need."
