A tragic dirt-bike accident on Finley Falls Road, just 110 feet west of Seymour’s city limits, claimed the life of Seymour’s Dylan Clarke early Sunday morning.
Clarke, 23, a 2016 graduate of Seymour High School, was eastbound at 2:45 a.m. on a 2019 Suzuki RMZ 250 dirt bike when the bike overturned, and he was ejected, Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Mike C. Cary said in his report of the accident.
He was pronounced dead at the accident scene at 3:27 a.m. by Webster County Deputy Chelsey Loveland at the direction of the county coroner, Cary’s report added.
Born and raised in Seymour, Clarke was a well-known and well-liked young man in the community, where he was a varsity athlete at Seymour High School.
The father of a young daughter, his funeral services are set for 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Seymour. Burial will follow in Ava. Clarke’s complete obituary appears elsewhere in this week’s newspaper.
Clarke was the 66th accident-related fatality of 2021 in the patrol’s Troop D region.
