The city of Seymour’s annual fall citywide cleanup arrives this weekend.
Specifically, the event starts this Saturday, Oct. 3, and continues through Sunday, Oct. 11.
It is free for all businesses and residents inside Seymour’s city limits.
City officials said a new rule concerning the event was put in place late last month by the Seymour Board of Aldermen.
Everyone bringing items to the cleanup must present a city utility bill to prove residency or ownership of a city business.
Hours are from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. all nine days of the cleanup. The collection site is at the city’s electric shed, located between Division and Frances streets, just south of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks.
An advertisement in this week’s newspaper and on our website outlines the items accepted for disposal at the event.
