Earlier this month, a 20,000-gallon fuel tank was unloaded and partially installed at the new Signal Food Store, a convenience store and gas station located at the intersection of U.S. 60, highways C and K on Seymour's northeast edge.
Because of the recent inclement weather and extremely low temperatures, progress at Seymour's Signal has been delayed.
Sean Bumgarner, Signal's vice president, said last week that the store likely won't be completed until the first week of April.
Bumgarner said that Signal's petroleum-equipment company hasn't been able to dig and backfill items after installation over the past two weeks because of the cold temperatures, let alone pour concrete.
"We just need some better weather," he concluded.
