The Seymour Saddle Club will hold an equine “fun show” starting at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the club’s arena, located on Water Street.

It is being held in conjunction with the annual “Let Freedom Ring” celebration held at the city’s South Park and sponsored by the Seymour Community Development Association.

After registration from 1 to 2 p.m., show classes begin at 3 p.m. with halter, showmanship, walk trot, pleasure and gaited.

Trail class is at 5 p.m., followed by lead line at 6 p.m.

The unique “egg-and-spoon” competition is at 7 p.m.

Concluding the event is the flag race at 8 p.m., followed by barrels, poles and a pick-up race.

Organizers said concessions will be available.

A “Junior PBR” event arrives the next weekend on Saturday, June 27.
