Seymour High School baseball team honored as  one of five finalists for the "Boys Team Of The Year" in the Ozarks

The Seymour High School baseball team was honored Monday, June 17, at the University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center in Springfield as one of five finalists for the "Boys Team Of The Year" in the Ozarks from the Elliott Lodging Sports Commission Awards.

This spring, the Tigers finished with a 21-8 spring record and finished second in Class 2 at the Missouri State Baseball Championships in O'Fallon.

The Tiger batsmen's spring showing was the highest-ever finish by a Seymour team in state play.
