The first practice for a variety of fall sports at Seymour High School arrives Monday, Aug. 12.
Athletic Director Robbie Jenkins said that all incoming seventh-grade athletes will need to have a physical on file.
Students who played in sports last year won’t need one, per a MSHSAA decision that sports physicals are good for two years, but student athletes will need to update their basic information.
Students who don’t have private insurance can get low-cost accident insurance by going to the school’s website at www.seymourschool.net to apply.
Jenkins added that the first practice for boys’ and girls’ middle-school basketball arrives Monday, Aug. 19, at a time to be announced.
School starts at the Seymour R-II School District next Thursday, Aug. 15.
If you have any questions, contact your student’s school building, individual coaches or Jenkins.
