Fordland is the No. 2 seed in next week's Class 1 District 6 Volleyball Tournament at Chadwick.
Despite a 2-18 record when coaches met to set district seeds, Fordland's Eagles were selected as the second-seeded team and will face off at 6 p.m. next Monday against No. 7 Koshkonong.
Koshkonong is winless this fall.
Tourney seeds and records include: 1. Summersville
(9-16-4 record), 2. Fordland (2-19), 3. Chadwick
(10-10), 4. Plato (8-12-5), 5. Bradleyville (4-11),
6. Niangua (3-16) and 7. Koshkonong (0-9).
With a win Monday, Fordland's next opponent is the winner of No. 3 Chadwick and No. 6 Niangua at 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
The district's championship game will be played at 7 p.m. that same evening.
