The Seymour varsity girls’ basketball team is the seventh seed at the upcoming Galena Lady Bear Classic, which starts on Thursday, Jan. 23, and runs three consecutive days until Saturday, Jan. 25.
The Tigers enter this week with a 2-9 record.
In first-round action, Seymour faces No. 2 Reeds Spring in a game set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.
Win or lose, the Tigers play on Friday, Jan. 24.
Seymour’s opponent with a win is the winner between No. 3 Galena and No. 6 Southwest of Washburn at 8:15 p.m. that evening. A loss means the Tigers play the losing team in the aforementioned contest at 5:45 p.m.
Final-round action on Saturday, Jan. 25, begins with the seventh-place game at 2:30 p.m.
The fifth-place game is at 4 p.m., followed by the third-place contest at 5:30 p.m.
The tourney’s championship tilt arrives at 7 p.m.
All games will be played at the Galena High School gymnasium in the Stone County community.
