Friday, Jan. 17 - Seymour Lady Tigers defeated Pleasant Hope 54-35 for third place in Pleasant Hope Girls' Tournament.
Monday, Jan. 13 - Seymour Lady Tigers defeated Exeter 45-30 in the Pleasant Hope Tournament this evening.
Seymour is the No. 4 seed at next week’s Pleasant Hope Girls’ Invitational Tournament, an eight-team event held at the Pleasant Hope Middle School gymnasium.
The Tigers of head coach Trent Copling will open tourney play at 5:30 p.m. next Monday against No. 5 Exeter.
A victory means Seymour advances to the tournament’s semifinals, where the likely opponent is top-seeded Chadwick.
That game is set for 7 p.m. next Wednesday, Jan. 15.
A loss means Seymour falls to the event’s consolation round, where the likely opponent is No. 8 Humansville. That game is at 4 p.m. next Wednesday, Jan. 15.
All final-round games will be played Friday, Jan. 17, beginning at 4 p.m.
Tournament seeds include: 1. Chadwick, 2. Springfield Greenwood, 3. Halfway, 4. Seymour, 5. Exeter, 6. Pleasant Hope, 7. Hermitage, 8. Humansville.

Seymour’s girls won their second game of the season last week at Laquey.
