The Seymour High School junior-varsity boys’ basketball team ended a three-game losing skid last week with road wins at Gainesville and School of the Ozarks (S of O).
With the two victories, the Tiger jayvee record improved to 10-6 this season.
At Gainesville last Tuesday, Feb. 4, Seymour won by a 53-45 count behind the game-high 27 points of 5’11” freshman guard Eli Nunnally.
Nunnally scored 21 points in the fi rst half as the Tigers built a 34-17 lead by halftime.
Sophomore post player Bryson Benson added 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Classmate Payton Bryant scored 8, freshman Bill Daily added 5 points, while freshman guard Derek Akers rounded out the scoring with 3.
In road action Friday at Point Lookout against S of O, Seymour cruised to a 48-36 victory.
The Tigers led 32-14 at the half and 44-20 after three quarters.
Freshman Cooper Bunch paced the Seymour offense with 15 points.
Benson added 10, while Bryant and Daily each had 6.
Nunnally and junior Nicola Silgardi scored 4 points a piece, and Akers had 3 points.
