Seymour FFA students Joseph Watkins, left, and Promise Cantrell tend to mums grown by students on the campus of Seymour High School early Monday morning.

Cantrell, a freshman, and Watkins, who is a senior, are among many members of the local FFA chapter involved in raising the mums, which now are on sale to the public.

Colors include red, white, yellow, purple, lilac/pink, yellow/orange, orange and bronze.

Mums in 9-inch pots sell for $10 each or two for $18; ones in 3-gallon pots are priced at $20 each or two for $35.

Anyone interested in purchasing the FFA better hurry.

Although the students have hundreds available, sales were very brisk Monday, Seymour FFA advisor Tiffany Kauffman said.
