The Seymour R-II School District’s Parents As Teachers (P.A.T.) organization welcomes children from birth to age 5 to a special event next Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Seymour Elementary School’s cafeteria.
The “Rootin’ Tootin’ Round-Up” starts at 6 p.m. that evening and features a wide variety of developmental activities for young children.
Children who attend are asked to dress up like a cowboy or farmer.
“If you have a wild stick horse, round ‘em up and gallop on in,” a news release added.
Free food will be served at the event.
Activities for children include boot tossin’, barrel racin’, corn dippin’, rhinestone boots, sheep sheerin’, horse racin’ and whittling crafts with rattlesnake beading.
There is no cost to attend.
All activities and food are free.
