Funeral services for David Alan McAnally II of Springfield and formerly of Seymour are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, in the Fraker Funeral Home of Marshfield.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Saturday, Aug. 31, in the funeral home.
Mr. McAnally, 50, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019.
He was born on Aug. 5, 1969, at the Boone County Hospital in Harrison, Ark., to David Alan and Jan Reubell McAnally.
He graduated in 1987 from Seymour High School.
On June 18, 1988, he married Tammy Akers; to this union, three children were born.
They lived in Seymour, until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1993. They were stationed in Fort Greely, Alaska, until 1995, returning and living in Springfield.
He had worked at Timken since 1995 until July 2019, when he had to take leave due to his illness.
He was best remembered for his love of music, movies, practical jokes, sense of humor and loyalty to his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Austin and Evelyn Reubell; his paternal grandparents, Joe McAnally and Pauline Longston; his aunt, Sharon Reubell Lair; his fathers-in-law, Bob Akers and Wayne Holbert; his sister-in-law, Chris Akers; and his great-niece, Jaxsyn Mae Larimore.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy, of the home; his three children, Britney and Aaron Dickey, Jessica and Nick Dunn, Kruz and Audrey McAnally, five grandchildren; his parents, Alan and Jan McAnally; his mother-in-law, Sue Holbert; his sister, Teresa and John Lewis; his sisters-in-law, Tonya Asbridge, Lisa Akers, Jammi Glenn and husband Joshua; and his brothers-in-law, Steve Akers and wife Carla, Timmy Akers, Kreg Akers and wife Brittany.
