Funeral services for David McNish of Seymour were held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour. Burial followed in the Fordland Cemetery, under the direction of the funeral home.
Mr. McNish, 76, died Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Webco Manor in Marshfield.
He was born on May 17, 1943, in Fordland to Harvey Allen and Eva Marie Cantrell McNish.
On Jan. 12, 1968, he married Joyce Colleen Burks; to this union, two children were born.
He was born and raised in Fordland and graduated in 1961 from Fordland High School, then served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army.
He was the owner of D&J Body Works for 25 years and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 14 years of service.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, working on cars, as well as repainting stock cars for friends and family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Charles McNish; and his son-in-law, Jeff Brooks.
Survivors include his son, Steven McNish and wife Natalie Beth of Marshfield; his daughter, Dawn Brooks of Columbia; several grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
