Memorial services for Janel Lynn Braun Lindsey of Seymour are set for Saturday, July 18, 2020, at her parents’ home in Theodosia.
Mrs. Lindsey, 52, died Saturday, March 28, 2020, in her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on Dec. 15, 1967, in Jefferson City to Jerid R. and Joyce McAtee Braun.
She became a resident of Diggins at the age of 4, when her father moved Braun Excavating there.
She was a 1986 graduate of Seymour High School.
She owned and operated The Flower Shop in Seymour for several years before becoming a cosmetologist.
She had loved hair and her customers since 1996, until the very end.
It is well known that her favorite place is somewhere on a beach between two palm trees, lounging in a hammock.
Preceding her in death was her granddaughter, Piper Bridges Hume, on May 28, 2019.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen, of the home; their children, Shyann Lindsey and Darren Hume of Seymour, Jerid Lindsey of Seymour and Logan Lindsey and wife Shelby of Diggins; her stepchildren, Desiree Lightsey of Buda, Texas, Wade Ellyson and wife Jaclyn of Wayne, Neb., and Amber Lindsey of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; her parents Jerid and Joyce Braun; her brother, David Braun Sr. and his children David Braun Jr. and Michael Braun; many more great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Janel will always be remembered for her larger-than-life personality, her servant heart and her colorful fingernails.
She was loved beyond measure and will be missed dearly.
