No services are planned at this time for Melisa Dawn Sartin of Seymour. Burial will be a private graveside memorial at a later date.

Mrs. Sartin, 48, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

She was born on Oct. 24, 1970, at the Mansfield Memorial Hospital to Robert Thomas Sartin and Paulette Thomas.

She was a 1989 graduate of Seymour High School.

She worked at Grammy’s Laundromat during high school.

She also worked as a waitress and was a caregiver for her beloved “Grammy.”

She loved to barbecue and swim with friends and family at the creek. She also collected camels.

Preceding her in death were her maternal grandmother, Peggy “Gran” Hoggatt; her great-grandmother, Alice “Mama” Matney; her uncle, Billy Hoggatt; and her paternal grandmother, Nadine “Grammy” Sartin.

Survivors include her father, Robert Thomas Sartin and wife Carol of Seymour; her mother, Paulette Thomas of Seymour; her two sons, Corey Robert Sartin of Diggins and Dylan Chase Clarke and Darrian Noonan of Seymour; one granddaughter; her two sisters, Hollie Harbison and husband Robbie of Pensacola, Fla., and Bobbie Bushman and husband Michael of Emporia, Kan.; several aunts and uncles.
