Funeral services for Shirley Ann Napier of Hartville were held Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, in the Holman-Howe
Funeral Home of Seymour. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery, under the direction of the funeral home.
Mrs. Napier, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
She was born on July 5, 1945, in the rural PeeWee community, just outside of Seymour, to Charles and Wilda “Billie” Johns Easley.
She attended Seymour schools and was a member of First Baptist Church of Seymour.
On Dec. 15, 1961, she married Billy Dean Napier; to this union, four children were born.
They made their home in rural Wright County.
For a time, she and Bill worked together at York Casket in Marshfield.
She later worked at Emerson in Ava.
She enjoyed collecting jewelry, especially earrings and rings.
She liked to fish and bake coconut-cream pies.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, Gene Easley; her sister, Bonnie Vance; and a granddaughter, Casey Marie Napier.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Dean, of the home; three sons, Mike Napier of Mansfield, Tom Napier and wife Sheila and Tony Napier and wife Tammy, all of Hartville; her daughter, Shelley Freeman and husband Darren of Mountain Grove; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Easley, Bob Easley and wife Joann, Ronnie Johns and wife Francie, all of Fordland; and two sisters, Jerry Morse of Springfield and Connie Terrill of Fordland.
