- Perry Leon Street, 61

Due to restrictions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, graveside services for Perry Leon Street of Mansfield and formerly of Seymour will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery with immediate family only, under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.

A memorial service to fellowship with family, friends and co-workers will be held at a later date.

Mr. Street, 61, died Thursday, March 19, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was born on Dec. 20, 1958, to James and Bessie Street.

On June 3, 1978, he married Elizabeth Keeling; to this union, one son was born.

He graduated from Seymour High School in 1977 and immediately went to work for the Se-Ma-No Electric Cooperative in Mansfield.

He was very dedicated to his job, starting with a position in right-of-way maintenance and rising through the ranks to operations manager. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for many years.

In his spare time, he loved being with his family, cooking special meals and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

He was longtime member of the Hazelwood Masonic Lodge in Seymour.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his beloved stepfather, Glenn “Bo” Dickson; and his sister, Janet Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Liz, of the home; one son, Joshua Street and wife Gwen of Rogersville; one grandson; his sister, Joann Wormington and husband Ralph of Diggins; three brothers, Ron Street and wife Pam of Joplin, Jim Street and wife Delphine of Valdosta, Ga., and Gerald Street and wife Phung of Diggins; two stepbrothers, Ron Dickson and wife Pamela, Richard Dickson and wife Sandy; one stepsister, Virginia Truitt and husband Tony; several aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews; and many more dear coworkers, friends and neighbors.

In lieu of fl owers or food, contributions can be made in memory to the American Cancer Society.

The funeral home will remain open for guests to sign his register book and walk-through viewing. Please do not congregate.
