Funeral services for Joyce Marie Kingery of Seymour were held Saturday, July 25, 2020, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour. Burial followed in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of the funeral home.
Mrs. Kingery, 85, died Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour.
She was born on May 8, 1935, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, to Clifford E.D. and Ellen M. Fowler Stuckey.
She was born in Iowa and moved with her parents to Seymour in the early 1940s.
She graduated in 1953 from Seymour High School.
On May 13, 1953, she married Robert David Kingery; to this union, five children were born.
She worked at Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory in Mansfield and was a cook at the Seymour R-II School District.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church near Hartville.
She was a great cook and enjoyed reading, watching westerns and soap operas.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert; a daughter, Janet Marie Clark; and a grandson, Danny Dean Sheppard.
Survivors include her three sons, Randy David Kingery and wife Amanda of Seymour, Robert Dale Kingery and wife Lawanna of Seymour and Rex Dwayne Kingery and wife Pam of Bowling Green; her daughter, Joyce Marie Sawyers and husband Verdon of Hartville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
