Memorial services for Michael Craig “Mike” Royston, formerly of Webster County, are set for 10 a.m. today (Wednesday), June 24, 2020, in the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar.
Burial will follow in the Dooley Bend Cemetery near Pomme de Terre Lake, under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation is set for 9 a.m. before the services.
Mr. Royston, 45, died Monday, June 15, 2020, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
He was born on Feb. 8, 1975, in Springfield.
When he was younger, he and his best four-legged friend, “Dunny,” a.k.a. “Elvis,” could be found at all the area ropins.
He and Dunny rode many miles in Fordland and Seymour through the years.
He worked as a plumber for many years, although his favorite “job” was farming.
Preceding him in death was his father, Don Royston; his stepfather, Tom Sneath; his uncle, Doug Hulsey; his aunt, Jean Luedde; and his grandparents, Earl and Iona Royston, Tony and Shirley Hulsey.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Sneath of Hermitage; his children, Mikelah Underwood of Columbia, Dylan Royston (Tucker) of Springfield, Jaden Harleman of Marshfield, Brooke Miller (Dakota) of Fair Grove, Breann Pentecost of Springfield and Cierra Pentecost of Fair Grove; three grandchildren; his sister, Teri Redd (Mike) of Hermitage; his uncle, Tony Hulsey; and his special longtime buddy, Kyle Thomas of Seymour.
