Funeral services for Raymond Walter Kingery of Seymour were held Monday, May 13, 2019, in the Mount Zion Southern Baptist Church of Hartville, under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.
Mr. Kingery, 85, died Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1933, in Adams County, Iowa, to Noah and Winnie Hanes Kingery.
He attended school at Pleasant Knob in Wright County, Flint Hollow in Webster County and Seymour High School.
He farmed all of his life and retired from working at the Mansfield Cheese Plant.
He loved taking care of his farm, cattle, horses and pigs.
He attended the Mount Zion Baptist Church faithfully and was a trustee there.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Richard and Robert Kingery; and a sister, Roma Kingery Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Dorthy, of the home; his sons, Tom Kingery and wife Marilyn, Larry Kingery and wife Donna, all of Mansfield; his daughter, Becky Dugger and husband Kyle of Mansfield; his stepsons, Richard Cline and wife Charlotte of Rogersville and Timothy Cline and wife Melody of Osceola; his stepdaughter, Cristy Buckner and husband Glenn of Willow Springs; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchilldren; and his sister, Ruby Ely of Hartville.
Memorial contributions may be left at the funeral home for the Mount Zion Cemetery.
