For several years, hundreds of senior citizens from throughout southern Webster County have received a free holiday meal, courtesy of a trio of Masonic lodges.
Starting at 11:30 a.m. and continuing until 2 p.m. this Sunday, cook crews from Fordland’s Mount Olive Lodge No. 439, Rogersville Henderson Lodge No. 477 and Seymour’s Hazelwood Lodge No. 459 will hold their annual seniors’ Christmas dinner at the Fordland High School cafeteria.
The day’s fare will consist of roasted turkey, old-fashioned cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, rolls and a wide variety of homemade desserts.
All area senior citizens and their families and/or caregivers are invited to attend the free event.
“You do not have to be a Mason or member of the Eastern Star to attend,” event organizers said in a news release.
The public is invited and highly encouraged to attend.
