Two local residents were injured early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident two miles north of Fordland on Saddle Club Road, Trooper Z.C. Dudley of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a radio report.
Kayla D. Harrison, 29, of Seymour and 32-year-old Nicholas T. King were injured in the 12:20 a.m. accident when King, driving an eastbound 1999 Chevrolet Silverado truck, “ran off the roadway, struck a tree and overturned,” Dudley’s report said.
King’s injuries were listed as serious, while Harrison was reported to have minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Dudley’s report said neither was wearing a seatbelt.
The truck was towed from the accident scene by Yates Boys Towing of Seymour.
