Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives Elijah Haahr appointed Representative Kelly to the Joint Committee on Child Abuse and Neglect and she was subsequently name Chairperson.
The joint committee consists of a 12 member bi-partisan group of Senators and Representative selected by the President Pro Tem of the Senate and the Speaker of the House to work together on issues of importance to Missourians.
Speaker Haahr noted “Representative Kelly has been out in front of a number of family and children’s issues during her tenure in the House and I am confident she will continue to be a strong voice for Missouri’s children as the Chair of the Joint Committee.”
“I am honored to serve with my colleagues in the House and Senate to insure that we do everything we can to protect our most vulnerable citizens and be good stewards of our taxpayer dollars” stated Representative Kelly.
Rep. Hannah Kelly, a Republican, represents part of Wright and Webster County (District 141) in the Missouri House of Representatives. Graduating from Liberty Faith Christian Academy, she became a Realtor at the age of 18, and obtained her brokerage license a few years thereafter, managing a real estate brokerage fulltime until her run for office in 2016
She is a member of Liberty Faith Church where she regularly attends, as well as an active member of the Mountain Grove Chamber of Commerce, and Lions Club. Service defines Hannah’s past as well as her future, and she continues to do volunteer work with area youth, family resource centers and adoption agencies.
