CITY OF SEYMOUR COVID-19 UPDATE: City Administrator Hillary Gintz just announced that all of the playground equipment at the city of Seymour’s parks are closed, effective immediately, following the announcement earlier this morning by the Webster County Commission of the first confirmed coronavirus case in Webster County, which is in Rogersville.

“It’s the safe thing to do,” Gintz said. “We don’t and feasibly can’t sanitize our playground equipment.”

However, not everything at the city’s parks are closed. Open are the basketball and tennis courts. The city’s baseball/softball field at the South Park also is open.

If any additional action is taken by the city, Gintz will keep the public updated.
