More than 9,000 pounds of food were collected by U.S. Postal Service rural mail carriers in Seymour and Rogersville earlier this month as part of the annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive.
"It was a nice surprise," said Janet Mitchell, assistant director of the Southern Webster County Food Pantry, which was the fortunate recipient of the food raised via the drive.
