The Webster County Health Unit was notified of #20 positive COVID-19 in an individual who resides in the central part of Webster County. This exposure is community related but outside of Webster County. No additional identifying information will be released about the individual in order to protect their privacy.
Possible public exposures are as follows:
June 12 – Sheila’s Place, Marshfield, 8:00a, dine-in (infectious, not symptomatic, not masked)
June 12 – Steak-N-Shake, Lebanon, 6:00p, dine-in, (infectious, not symptomatic, not masked)
June 14 -- First Baptist Church, Marshfield, 8:45-10:00a (infectious, symptomatic, not masked)
The risk is considered low for exposure, but you should monitor for symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, chills, muscle pain, loss of taste and/or smell, shortness of breath, and/or fatigue. If you develop any symptoms, please reach out to your primary care provider to determine if testing is warranted. If you have any questions directly related to COVID-19, you may call the state hotline at 877-435-8411.
We still need to practice social distancing of 6 ft or more, wear a face mask if going to be out in public and be closer than 6 ft, practice good hand hygiene, stay home if you’re sick, and disinfect frequently used surfaces.
