The city of Seymour sold another one of its vacant lots at last Thursday's regular meeting of the Seymour Board of Aldermen.
Listed for $19,900 was a 75-by-275-foot lot on Summit Avenue at the south end of South Commercial Street, a property known by many as the "old horseshoe lot" for the Seymour Apple Festival.
Two decades ago, the city purchased the property for $4,800.
On Thursday, aldermen voted 4-0 to sell the property for $15,900 to Seymour resident Zach Clouse, who resides at a home that borders the lot.
The transaction for the vacant property will be completed this week.
