Want to ring a bell?
For a good cause?
If so, then your volunteer services are needed in November and December as the Salvation Army's bell-ringing campaign comes to Seymour.
Local chairpersons Nadine Crisp, Teri Myers and Terry Penner currently are signing up volunteers for bell-ringing duties at the Seymour Price Cutter grocery store, with the bell-ringing to start at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29.
Bell-ringing continues every Friday and Saturday until Dec. 21 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day at the local Price Cutter.
Penner said volunteers are needed for hour-long shifts for a cause where 85 percent of the money raised stays in Webster County.
Days that be-ringers are needed include Nov. 29, Nov. 30, Dec. 6, Dec. 7, Dec. 13, Dec. 14, Dec. 20 and Dec. 21.
"Bell-ringers can be individuals or groups, it can include more than one person on a shift," Penner said. "Once the bell-ringing starts, we'll have a Facebook page with photos of the bell-ringers posted."
The Facebook page is titled Salvation Army Webster County Service Unit.
