October is “Socktober.”

That’s the message from Seymour’s Cub Scout Pack 91 as members want to help make this winter warmer for southern Webster County families in need.

Troop members currently are collecting gloves, hats, mittens and socks to benefit the annual Share Your Christmas program sponsored by the Seymour Lions Club.

“For the kids, this is an exciting drive,” explained Angela Stanley, a parent of a local scout. “This is their way to help those in need.”

Organizers said adult and children’s sizes of the aforementioned items are needed.

Requested are new items only.

Where can the gloves, hats, mittens and socks be dropped off?

At Seymour’s Kleier Farm & Home, located just north of U.S. 60.

The drive continues through Thursday, Oct. 31.

Once the drive ends, Seymour’s Cub Scouts will donate all of the collected items to Share Your Christmas.

For more information on the drive, Stanley can be reached via call or text at 417-988-7986.
