Courtesy of Seymour native Gary Childress, a set of 2020 season tickets to the historic Owen Theatre in downtown Seymour are available.
They will be awarded to a winner next Tuesday afternoon, just before Christmas.
Childress purchased two season tickets for the venue on Monday. In turn, he requested that the tickets be given to local residents, awarded in the form of a drawing.
"(The Owen) opened the same year I was born," Childress said. "I remember attending shows at the Owen hundreds of times, beginning when I was 3 or 4 years old. It cost a dime for a ticket and a nickel for popcorn."
A box for the drawing is on the front counter of the Webster County Citizen office on the west side of the city square in Seymour.
To be eligible for the ticket drawing, simply visit the Citizen office and fill out an entry.
The winner will be announced on the Citizen's Facebook page next Tuesday afternoon, as well as in a future edition of the news.
