The description for the music of “Hogmolly” may confuse some.
That description is “Hickadelic Jazzgrass.”
What does that mean?
“It’s unique,” said a smiling Mike Borders, who with wife Debbie serve as booking agents for the historic Owen Theatre in downtown Seymour.
And one of the Borders’ favorite bands come to Seymour this Saturday when Hogmolly takes the stage at 7 p.m.
Hogmolly is a three-man band that includes Bo Brown, Matt Calton and Jeff Sowards. The trio, all accomplished guitarists and musicians, will present their unique take on a style of music enjoyed by many not only in the Ozarks but across the U.S.
Brown plays in several area bands and is known for his unique melodies and musical style.
“We’re anticipating a good crowd for this concert,” Borders noted. “Hogmolly has an excellent following, and I know our local folks will really like them.”
Tickets are $10 each.
Doors for the show open at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Advance tickets can be purchased at the Webster County Citizen office on the west side of the Seymour square. Credit cards are accepted; tickets also can be bought in advance by calling the Citizen office at 417-935-2257.
