Six-piece, high-energy band plays wide variety of music Mike Borders, booking chairman for the downtown venue, said the Ozarks Travelers are a six-piece, high-energy band that performs a wide genre of music.
“We feel fortunate to get them to the Owen, especially since the band came to us on fairly short notice,” Borders said. “I’m confident our patrons will really enjoy their show and their wide range of music.”
The band’s primary music style is rooted deeply in the incredible sound of America’s beloved country music. However, the Ozarks Travelers are just not limited to playing country music’s top hits. The band moves from country music into 1950s rock-and-roll, 1960s classic rock, classic country and old-time “Texas Swing” tunes.
Members of the band include David Richardson from Norwood, who for many years led Tuesday-night jams at the Seymour Senior Citizens’ Center, and Randy Clair of Marshfield, who is known to many for his many years as a Webster County elected official.
